EQUIPMENT & HOMEOWNER GUIDANCE

Filtration, moisture, and fresh air.

Temperature, moisture, and indoor air concerns are related, but they are not the same problem. Start with what you notice before choosing an accessory.

A filter must fit the airflow requirements.

Filter size, fit, capture performance, and airflow resistance all matter. A more restrictive filter is not automatically suitable for an existing blower or return. Use the equipment’s approved guidance and ask how a proposed filter affects system airflow. Maintain or replace it as directed.

Find the reason for a moisture concern.

A damp-feeling room may call for checking moisture sources, building conditions, and cooling operation before selecting equipment. Dehumidification and humidification serve different purposes. Capacity, drainage, controls, and access for cleaning need to suit the proposed installation.

Moving indoor air is not the same as ventilation.

Many central systems primarily recirculate indoor air. Bringing in outdoor air requires an appropriate ventilation approach and consideration of outdoor conditions. Filtration cannot substitute for every source-control or ventilation measure. These topics do not imply a health outcome or a confirmed Mountain Air product offering.

Compare the approach, not just the equipment.
